Climbing the Gastlosen

SWITZERLAND | It was on my bucket list for quite some time now. The traverse of the epic Gastlosen in Fribourg. It should be pretty easy but beautiful ridge climbing. It was a sunny fall day and besides us there was almost nobody around. I thought it would be crowded on a weekend, but it wasn’t the case. The Gastlosen are special, because the rock formation is standing alone in the landscape. Climbingwise it’s definitely not the most interesting thing to do.

Where: Jaun, canton of Fribourg

What: Beautiful traverse with 5c max, easily feasible with mountain boots. The descent was longer than expected 😉
