Visiting the floating islands

PERU | We went on a two day trip to visit the floating island in Puno called Islas Uros. These islands only exists because of the tourism, so you can imagine how touristic and overpriced it was. It was very interesting to see how they build their floating islands and how they live. The night we spent with a locals in their house on the island Amantani (a bigger not floating island). We also got dressed up and danced together (totally not my thing 😂)

Where: Puno, Titikaka lake

What: Get to know the local and visit their beautiful island. Honestly I’m not sure if I would do it again, since I’m a bit allergic to organized group activities. And they tie the legs of the poor sheeps together so they can run away 😢
